UK Regional Board – two Trustees London
The Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth is an international congregation of religious women whose main mission is to care for frail older people in one of 37 Nazareth Houses around the globe. Thirteen of these Houses and a care village are in mainland Great Britain and are the responsibility of the Congregation’s UK Region.
The UK Regional Board of Nazareth Care Charitable Trust has a Board of nine: five Sister trustees and four lay trustees, with complementary skill-sets. The Chair would like to appoint two lay Trustees, with skills to complement those already in place, in particular finance and business acumen. You will bring a background in senior management together with some experience of working at Board level. As a Trustee, you will empathise with the Congregation’s mission, values, ethos and objectives, understand the interaction between the Sisters’ religious lives and their ministries, and recognise the importance of their continuing involvement in their Houses.
Nazareth Houses welcome men and women as residents, staff or board members, from all backgrounds, faiths and races. Trustees have four Board meetings a year held either in Nazareth House in Finchley or at one of the Nazareth Houses around the UK. There is also a strategy day and Trustees are encouraged to make visits.
