Search (headhunting)

Search works best in cases where there is a limited but identifiable pool of appropriately qualified candidates for a senior level position. The process involves extensive, well-directed research and targeted networking to identify candidates, gauge the levels of qualification and interest and communicate the opportunity. Search may also be useful where sensitivity is an issue or a high degree of discretion is required.

Selection

Advertising a position communicates the opportunity to a wider – if less closely-defined – audience. Selection brings with it the benefits of openness and transparency, which may be a requirement, and provides a time scale for a recruitment exercise which might otherwise be more open-ended.

Search & Selection

By employing both Search and Selection the consultant can combine the advantages of each channel when undertaking senior level assignments. The use of both Search and Selection to identify candidates is particularly useful for not-for-profit organisations where both the best outcome and an accountable process are important.

Tactical Recruitment Services

In addition to senior level recruitment, JMR Consultants is also able to offer tactical recruitment services to help conduct large-scale recruitment projects which might otherwise stretch the in-house capacity of the HR Department.

As a recruitment consultancy, our clients are the organisations that retain us to recruit on their behalf. (In this respect a recruitment consultancy differs from a recruitment agency that works on behalf of its candidates.)
